Be part of the 2010 Woodlands Wahoo's Swim Team.  Coach Mike Loser is ready for another great year. 

SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION is Sunday, April 25th at the cabana at The Pool (clubhouse if it's raining) from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Three  preseason practices are scheduled for May 25th, 28th and June 1 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the pool.

Regular season practices will begin Monday, June 7th. 
  8:30 AM - 9:30 AM for ages 10 and under.
  9:30 AM - 11:00 AM for ages 11 and up.

Mini Team (ages 6 and under) will be given a schedule after the first week of practice.

The 2009 edition of the Woodlands Wahoos had a very successful season!  The team finished as Division Champions with an undefeated record.  The team also finished in 3rd place in the "Splash Points" category (the number of points divided by the number of entries).
 
Annie Niehaus and Taylor Niehaus of the Woodlands CC swimmers were awarded a $1000 scholarship from the Columbia Swim League for distinguishing themselves in academics, community service and leadership, as well as strong commitment and contributions to the swim league.
 
TOP TWENTY PERFORMANCES AT THE 2009 CITY MEET:
 
8 and under:
Lizzie Duncan finished 11th in the Butterfly, 3rd in the Breaststroke, 3rd in the Freestyle
Kelsey Greene finished 16th in the Butterfly, 4th in the Backstroke, 7th in the Breaststroke
 
Lauren Price, Lizzie Duncan, Kelsey Greene and Abby Griffin teamed up to win 3rd place in the Medley Relay and 4th place in the Free Relay.
 
12 and under:
Matthew Greene finished 19th in the Butterfly, 15th in the Backstroke, 17th in the Freestyle and 12th in the Individual Medley.
 
The Medley Realy team of London Harrell, Rebecca Eaton, Sarah Gastright and Amanda Price placed 16th.  Substituting Grace Smith for Sarah Gastright, the team finished 20th in the Freestyle Relay.
 
14 and under:
Ben Spinek won the Breastroke Event, was second in the Butterfly, Freestyle and Individual Medley.
Jordanne Harpster was 17th in the Backstroke, 11th in the Breaststroke,
Alicia Beebe was 13th in the Breastroke, 17th in the Individual Medley
 
The team of Jordanne Harpster, Eren Sakarcan, Alicia Beebe and Elise Petitgout were 10th in the Medley Relay and, exchanging Petitgout with Taylor Mack for the Freestyle Relay...placed 10th as well.
 
15 - 18 Division:
Sarah Boyle won the Butterfly and Backstroke events, was 9th in the Breastroke and 6th in the Individual Medley.
Margaret Hoynes was 3rd in the Butterfly, 5th in the Backstroke, 3rd in the Freestyle, 4th in the Individual Medley.
Caroline Spinek was 6th in the Butterfly, 11th in the Backstroke,

Michael Gastright was 19th in the Butterfly, 13th in the Breaststroke and Freestyle
 
Taylor Niehaus, Ben Spinek, Michael Gastright and Kai Cowger finished 9th in the Medley Relay and 8th in the Freestyle Relay.
 
The relay team of Sarah Boyle, Chelsie Gastright, Caroline Spinek and Margaret Hoynes was second in both relays.
 
Other Woodlands CC swimmers at the City Meet (not mentioned above) were Abby and Karsen Macdougall, Jacob and Caleb Ely, Maddux Harrell, Lauren Price, Rebecca Eaton, Baylor Barry, Macey Coulter, Annie Niehaus and Josh Smith.
