Woodlands Senior One-Day Events
The Polar Bear – Tuesday, January 17th
2012 got off to a great start with our first, Senior One-Day Event, The Senior Polar Bear. The weather was supposed to be chilly for an event called the Polar Bear, but Tom took control of the weather and raised the temperatures a few degrees. We even thought of re-naming the event the Grizzly Bear for the Day. Obviously the warm temperatures helped bring out a big crowd. We had 32 players compete in the Capain;s Choice Format.
As with all Captain's Choice Events, the Overall Champion was determined by who was able to make a few more putts than the other team. The Fearsome Foursome of Fred Stanton, Steve Stanton, Lonnie Bowman, and Bo Willard, were able to sink a few more birdie putts, post a phenomenal score of 55 and capture first place honors by two shots over the team of Ancil Pressley, Dave Mottershead, Parker Martin and John Southern. Finishing in third place, with a very respectable score of 60 was the team of Tom Maffett, Charlie Carlson, Luke Lekovish, and our youngest Senior, Robbie Prichard.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2012 Senior Polar Bear and Congratulate all of our winners.
Our Next One-Day Senior Event of 2012 will be the Senior Groundhog, scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th. We will also be holding a Senior Open Par 3 Tournament on Wednesday, February 15th. Click Here to sign-up for either of these events
Senior Inter-Club Information

The Woodlands Golf & Country Club has a very active schedule of events for Senior Golfers of all skill levels and ages.
Woodlands Senior One-Day Events
Woodlands Senior One-Day Events allow Members of the Woodlands to sign-up as individuals and play in various formats throughout the year. We conduct one Senior One-Day Event each month. This is a great way to meet new members and new playing partners. Entry fees for the Woodlands Senior One-Day Events are $16.00 plus the $16.00 Cart Fee ($32.00 Total). Each One-Day Event includes lunch and prizes. You may bring a guest along with you at any of the Senior One-Day Events.
Woodlands Senior Interclub Matches
Interclub Matches begin in March and run through September. Sixteen Woodlands Members will compete in a Match against a team from another club.
You are able to sign-up for every Senior One-Day, and Senior Interclub Event at The Woodlands online. This is a simple process and we will e-mail you a confirmation that we have received your online sign-up.
