The Woodlands Golf & Country Club has a very active schedule of events for Senior Golfers of all skill levels and ages.
Woodlands Senior One-Day Events
Woodlands Senior One-Day Events allow Members of the Woodlands to sign-up as individuals and play in various formats throughout the year. We conduct one Senior One-Day Event each month. This is a great way to meet new members and new playing partners. Entry fees for the Woodlands Senior One-Day Events are $20.00 plus the $17.00 Cart Fee ($37.00 Total). Each One-Day Event includes lunch and prizes. You may bring a guest along with you at any of the Senior One-Day Events.
Woodlands Senior Interclub Matches
The League consists of eleven teams that play each other in match play. Each team plays five home and five away matches. A match is eight, two-man best ball teams, requiring sixteen players per club. Each match is worth three points—one each for the front, back, and the 18 holes. Full handicaps are used for participating players. Standings are determined by points accumulated throughout the season.
The season runs from February through September with playoffs held in October between the top four teams. Home matches for 2016 will be posted later. Players participate in the matches for cart fees plus League fees, resulting in a cost of $21 or less at each club.

I woke up Christmas morning in 1994, excited as any kid would be, to open presents. I had no idea one of those presents would get me to where I am today, a plastic set of golf clubs. Ever since then my passion for the game has continually grown. After high school at Spring Valley, I set out on a path of becoming a golf professional. I graduated from Golf Academy of America Carolinas in December of 2015. My studies involved Tournament Operations, Advanced Methods of Teaching and Complex Golf Operations. I moved back to Columbia to pursue my career as a golf professional and to be around my family and friends.

Assistant Course Superintendent
A native of Mexico, Nicolas has served as the Woodlands Assistant Course Superintendent since 2001. Nicolas has developed an extensive background in irrigation, turf management, and landscaping and has done an excellent job working with his team of grounds keepers and mechanics to keep the course in top-notch condition.
Along with Nicolas is his dog Boo, a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, that spends his days chasing geese off the driving range and rabbits and squirrels off the greens. Boo is also up-to-date on his golf etiquette and knows to always be quiet when on the course.
